Sean Smith

Sean Smith grew up watching his family build businesses. They worked hard, and the entrepreneurial drive was always there. He also saw what happens when financial decisions get made without a strategy behind them.

That gap became his focus.

Sean has spent more than fifteen years in Canadian real estate finance, working with first-time buyers, multi-property investors and everyone in between. Across that time he kept seeing the same situation in different forms: hardworking people with real income and real assets, carrying debt nobody had ever explained to them. Few had been shown how strategies like rental cash damming or the Smith Manoeuvre work, or why what borrowed money is used for matters.

As a co-founder of Freedom10, Sean teaches those strategies and designs them with clients: how the accounts are set up, which account pays which bill, and how the records are kept. He uses the same strategies in his own finances.

Sean is licensed as a Mortgage Agent Level 2 with Tango Financial Mortgage (ON) Corp.
